Background:Bacterial resistance is a growing problem in many countries. Antibiotics have become available for bacterial infection. In many countries, resistance to antibiotics has been a problem, increasing the number of people suffering from bacterial infections. In China, there are several therapeutic agents that are available for treating bacterial infections, and there are several types of antibiotics available. In this study, we aimed to investigate the efficacy of Zithromax® and Zithromax® plus Amoxicillin in the treatment of bacterial infections in Chinese patients with acute bacterial sinusitis.

Methods:Twenty patients with acute bacterial sinusitis in China were divided into two groups of two patients each: the first group received Zithromax® and Zithromax® plus Amoxicillin and the second group received Zithromax® and Zithromax® plus Amoxicillin alone.

Results:Compared with the first group, there were no significant differences in severity of bacterial infection in the two groups, but the severity of bacterial infection was significantly different between the two groups. The overall rate of bacterial infection in the two groups was comparable, but the rate of bacterial infection was significantly higher in the Zithromax® group than in the Zithromax® group.

Conclusions:Zithromax® and Zithromax® plus Amoxicillin in the treatment of bacterial infections in Chinese patients with acute bacterial sinusitis are effective, safe and well tolerated. Zithromax® and Zithromax® plus Amoxicillin in the treatment of bacterial infections in Chinese patients with acute bacterial sinusitis should be considered in the selection of the therapy.

Zithromax® and Zithromax® plus Amoxicillin: A comparison of efficacy of Zithromax® and Zithromax® plus Amoxicillin in the treatment of bacterial infections in patients with acute bacterial sinusitis. The results of this study were obtained from a single randomized trial in Chinese patients with acute bacterial sinusitis. The authors have no conflicts of interest to disclose. This is the first randomized trial that compares the efficacy of Zithromax® and Zithromax® plus Amoxicillin in the treatment of bacterial infections in Chinese patients with acute bacterial sinusitis.Figure 1: Flow diagram of study design. Treatment with Zithromax® and Zithromax® plus Amoxicillin was initiated by the physician. The study was done in adult male patients aged 18 to 89 years, with a history of sinusitis and acute bacterial sinusitis of any origin. The patients were divided into two groups, the first group received Zithromax® and Zithromax® plus Amoxicillin and the second group received Zithromax® and Zithromax® plus Amoxicillin alone. In the treatment of acute bacterial sinusitis, the treatment started by the physician and continued by the patients for a week, followed by a period of observation for the rest of the period until the last period. The patients were followed up every two months and the duration of the treatment was determined on the basis of the patient's clinical history. The patients were divided into two groups: the first group received Zithromax® and Zithromax® plus Amoxicillin and the second group received Zithromax® and Zithromax® plus Amoxicillin alone.
